German waterproof bag specialist Ortlieb has been awarded an ISPO Gold Award for its new Atrack ST backpack.

Launched last year, the Atrack concept first won an Outdoor Industry Gold Award at OutDoor 2018. Currently available in 25 and 35 litre capacities, the Atrack is pitched as a “radical” new waterproof backpack designed for active travel.

Features include a full-length waterproof TIZIP zipper positioned inside the back panel, providing a wide opening for unobstructed access and ensuring the back stays dry and clean during packing and unpacking. The back system is fully adjustable with breathable body-contact areas, the body uses Ortlieb’s ultra-durable PS33 fabric, and the Atrack can be customised with accessories to carry everything from a skateboard to skis. Once closed up, the Atrack is waterproof to IP67.

The new ISPO award-winning Atrack ST is a ‘Short Torso’ version designed specifically for women, with the harness and back optimised for a women’s fit and available in 25 and 34 litre capacities.

All Ortlieb products are PVC free and sustainably made in Germany using the company’s high-frequency welding technology. The Atrack ST will be launched at the forthcoming ISPO 2019 show, and available from August 2019. Ortlieb products are distributed in the UK by Lyon Equipment.
