Mammut owner, Conzetta looks likely to try and offload the brand as part of a move away from the outdoor sports sector.
Mammut Sports Group has been a part of Swiss holding company Conzzeta since 1982. Conzzeta recently announced it would be shifting its focus towards its global sheet metal construction company, Bystronic, and as a result Mammut — along with Schmid Rhyner and FoamPartner — would no longer receive the resources and support they require, and will be entering into sales discussions for the brands.
The sale is specifically directed towards internationalising the brand under a new owner to advance its development prospects, particularly when it comes to market penetration.
The firm’s sales and profits increased significantly from 2016 to 2018, with expected projections to increase again for 2019, showcasing an exciting time and possibility for Mammut’s potential buyer to realize the brand’s growth opportunity and prime positioning for expansion.
