Patagonia is partnering with Danner Boots on what will be its first-ever collaboration.

The deal was announced by Patagonia at the ICAST trade show in Florida in earlier this month.

The duo will team up on the Foot Tractor wading boot — a name Patagonia has used in the past for its wading boots — which is optimised for fly fishing and wading around on slippery riverbeds.

Meanwhile, Patagonia is also set to open its first shop in Austria this autumn. The store, which will be located in the city of Innsbruck, will occupy 197 square metres and feature apparel for several sports, including climbing, skiing, snowboarding and trail running. The store is also set to include a free clothing repair service for all brands.

Patagonia’s new store in Innsbruck will also serve as a hub for events, film screenings and public talks about sports and environmental issues. Free yoga classes, for example, are planned for the opening period and into the new year.
