Sales increase for Eider owner

Outdoor brands on the rise


The Calida Group which owns the Millet Mountain Group, Lafuma and Eider brands has seen full year net sales increase 7.6 per cent.

Net sales rose from to 409.5 million Swiss francs ($410m), while adjusted for exchange rate effects, the increase came to 4.1 percent.

Net income increased 5.3 percent on the prior year to 17.8 million Swiss francs ($17.8m). 

“We are proud of the fact that the Calida Group significantly outperformed the market. The strong performance of all the brands and sales channels is the result of the systematic implementation of the corporate strategy defined in 2016,” said Reiner Pichler, CEO of the Calida Group in a statement.

The Millet Mountain Group, comprising Millet, Lafuma and Eider, recorded sales growth of six per cent, to €101.4m ($115.3m), an increase in net sales of 6.4 per cent. The operating profit contribution of the division  rose 7.7 per cent to €23.2m ($26.3m) in the reporting year.
