Keen Footwear has partnered with ethical Himalayan brand Sherpa for educational charity, the Innate LTD project.

Some €15 from the sale of every pair of Keen travel boots will be donated to the charity Room to Read, an organisation that seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in developing countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education.

The proceeds of the sale of approximately three pairs of Keen Innate x Sherpa Adventure Gear shoes will enable one child to read and write for a year and the sales of twenty-five pairs will fund a child to be supported through secondary school for an entire year. The goal is to teach 1000 children to read and write for one year.

As part of the project, KEEN have just returned from visiting the Room to Read School in Nuwakot, Nepal, with award winning photographer and conservationist Jasper Doest, where they have been engaging in learning activities and getting to know some of the students and local community who will benefit from this scheme.
