Storm Care hits New Heights

Storm Care Solutions has appointed New Heights as its new UK distributor and will focus on promoting the firm’s eco-friendly range of products into UK outdoor retail.

Effective from this month (January 2020), New Heights will represent Stor and provide retail support to stockists.

Storm launched its new easily-recyclable aluminium product range in order to reduce plastic waste going into the ocean and environment. Some 91 per cent of discarded plastic isn’t recycled and it has been predicted that by mid-century, the oceans will contain more plastic waste than fish, ton for ton. With aluminium being much more recyclable than plastic and aluminium packaging having a higher recycle rate than plastic the new aluminium bottles, which use reduced plastic packaging, offer outdoor enthusiasts an easily recyclable option that will help to reduce the amount of disposable plastic waste ending up in the environment. The range also includes PFC-free proofing products; making them even more environmentally friendly.

Commenting on the appointment, Storm’s Managing Director, Tim Wilson, said: “We’re very happy to be working with New Heights as their business ethos very much aligns with our own. As a company we are looking to produce much more eco-friendly and eco-conscious product in order to reduce its environmental impact. New Heights were interested in our eco story and wanted to help get our product into store. We look forward to a successful partnership.”
